So, at last, we derive an expression for the minimum energy of the gamma-ray photon. E_gamma is a minimum when the denominator is a maximum, which is when cos(theta)=-1, ie when theta=180 degrees.
The minimum energy is also inversely proportional to the energy of the photon with which it interacts.
