Notes:
We want to work out what the synchrotron self-absorption spectrum looks like and how it behaves. We will do this by taking a simplistic approach to the problem.
We assume that each electron emits and absorbs at the peak frequency shown in the equation above. Then the emitted intensity can be obtained by replacing the mean energy per particle for a thermal source (~kT) with the energy given by the equation above.
