Pilot/Follow-up observations

Pilot/Follow-up proposals must consist of exactly two observations, the first being the pilot run, the second the follow-up. The two observations are treated as separate entities by XRPS and no consistency checks are performed on the input to both. Therefore, users must make sure that all target- and observation-related information is entered consistently in both observation forms. The easiest way to do his is to copy the pilot observation (which MUST be done BEFORE any time constraints are added to it!) and then re-define the copied, second observation to the follow-up in the ``Observation Type'' field. For the pilot observation time constraints must then be provided (see § 5.3.2.2). None may be given for the follow-up observation, because it must follow the pilot run immediately, IF the success criterion defined previously is fulfilled.
