MSSL lies approximately 40 miles to the south-west of London, in the centre of the Guildford/Dorking/Horsham 'triangle'. Heathrow Airport is about an hour's drive away and Gatwick Airport about 40 minutes. The nearest mainline train stations with fast connections to London are Guildford (35 mins to Waterloo) and Gatwick (30 mins to Victoria on the Gatwick Express). For those staying at a hotel in, or travelling via, Guildford, you can transfer from the airports using public transport as follows:
- From Gatwick: Gatwick station is positioned in the South Terminal of the airport and provides direct rail-air link trains for Guildford hourly between 10.03am and 4.03pm, journey time 38 minutes. Other times vary
- From Heathrow: Rail-air link coaches leave Terminal 4 for Woking Station from 6.10am to 11.00pm, picking up from terminals 2, 3 and 1. Between 9.00am and 8.00pm they run every half-an-hour, otherwise it is an hourly service. Time to Woking, 50 minutes. There are then frequent trains from Woking to Guildford.
Travelling from the airports to MSSL you may find it
easiest to rent a car, while a taxi ride is the best option from the
nearest mainline train stations. For those travelling to MSSL by car, road maps of the surrounding
