SURF User Access and Data Policy

SURF User Access

Users who wish to analyse SURF data can gain access in one of two ways:

• Web-Based:
  
  Yohkoh and SOHO/CDS data can be obtained using the Data Request Form
  TRACE and Ancillary data can be requested by e-mail to surf@mssl.ucl.ac.uk




• Direct Access to SURF:
  
  Users can apply for an account with the SURF archive by completing an Account Request Form, which can be emailed to surf@mssl.ucl.ac.uk

Please acknowledge use of this facility in any publications including data obtained here with the following statement:

We acknowledge the SURF for providing data for use in this publication.

Note:
Researchers within the United States or Japan should contact the Solar Data Analysis Center, (Yohkoh Archive)  or   ISAS.

SURF Data Policy

Yohkoh

The SURF follows the agreed data policy of the Yohkoh Team. All SURF users are allowed full access to Yohkoh data immediatly after acquisition. The data are in the public domain and can be obtained using the Data Request Form.

Everyone using Yohkoh data provided by the SURF is encouraged to register their interest in analysis projects through the Team Bulletin Board; in this way Yohkoh Team members keep in touch. If necessary, the SURF can help users to establish collaborations with appropriate members of the Yohkoh Team.

TRACE

All TRACE data are in the public domain, and can be requested by email to surf@mssl.ucl.ac.uk

SOHO/CDS

All CDS data over one year old are in the public domain and are avaliable from SURF using the Data Request Form.
