Travel & Accommodation
MSSL
lies approximately 40 miles to the south-west of London, on Holmbury
hill between Dorking and Guildford. Heathrow Airport is about an hour's
drive away and Gatwick Airport about 40 minutes. The nearest largest
mainline train stations with connections to London are Guildford and
Dorking, whereas if you are coming from the south (e.g. Universities of
Sussex, Southampton etc) it is best to go to Horsham. All three towns
(Guildford, Dorking and Horsham) are about about half an hour from MSSL
by car. Taxi ranks are available at these stations, so there is no need
to prebook. For information about train times and connections, please
refer to the National Rail travel information service.
For those travelling to MSSL by car, road maps of the surrounding area are available. If you need any advice about the best route to take, please contact the local organisers or take a look at the RAC route planner.
If you intend to stay overnight locally, we recommend that you book your own accommodation as early as possible. Here is a location map.
There is accommodation in the villages surrounding MSSL or nearby towns
(Guildford, Dorking), please see links below for some suggestions. If
you prefer a Travelodge or Premier Inn, please consult their websites
for the location of these hotels.
