CLUSTER 13 Fifth Cluster and Double Star Tail Workshop
MSSL, 26th-30th March 2007
How to Find Us
MSSL is located in rural Surrey, 12 miles (19km) from Guildford, the nearest large town. The lab is approximately 25 miles (40 km) from London Gatwick airport and 35 miles (56 km) from London Heathrow. The nearest major railway station is in Guildford. Trains run to Guildford roughly four times an hour from London Waterloo station.
Because of the lab's rural location, we recommend either hiring a car or arranging taxis for the duration of your visit.
The postal address of the laboratory is:
University College London
Department of Space & Climate Physics
Mullard Space Science Laboratory
Holmbury St. Mary
Dorking
Surrey RH5 6NT
United Kingdom.
This map shows how to reach MSSL from Gatwick Airport or the M25. Holmbury St. Mary is sign-posted from the A25, and MSSL is signed from the village. The roads up to the laboratory are narrow, so do not be put off! Additionally, directions from London Gatwick airport to the laboratory can be obtained from Google Maps, Multimap, and the AA.
Directions from Heathrow Airport to the laboratory can be obtained from Google Maps, Multimap and the AA.
Train timetables and routes can be found at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk. Directions from Guildford railway station to the laboratory can be obtained from Google Maps, Multimap, and the AA. Several car hire companies have offices in Guildford and taxis can be found outside of the station.
