The effective area of the grismsΒΆ
The latest update of the effective area has been done after the coincidence loss treatment reached its final form. The changes to the effective area are minor ones, as could be expected, except in the visible grism, where the accuracy increased substantially, and at the end of the range where use of the new coi-correction allowed us to use very bright sources, thus increasing the accuracy of the effective area when smaller than 10% of its peak value.
Therefore the reader is invited to look at the description of the effective area in: The 2013 Flux Calibration used in uvotpy-1.0, which was made using the previous version of the coincidence loss correction.
