XMM Announcements of Opportunity

The deadline for the first XMM Announcement of Opportunity (AO-1) has now passed.

The first XMM announcement of opportunity (AO-1) was released on Tuesday, January 19th 1999, soliciting proposals from the world-wide scientific community for XMM science observations covering approximately 12.5 Msec of observing time between May 2000 and May 2002. The deadline for proposals was 16th April 1999.

Although this deadline has now passed, we have retained the details about AO-1, the scientific capabilities of XMM and proposing for XMM observations in the following documentation. We have local copies of these documents (in postcript and PDF formats) for faster access to UK proposers. Please click on the document name to download it directly or on the  icon to access our download area.
